What is the Bærtling Foundation?
The Bærtling Foundation is a charitable endowment fund supervised by the County Administrative Board of Stockholm. The foundation was established in 1983 by Lisa von Roxendorff-Bærtling, widow of the artist Olle Bærtling. The purpose of the foundation is to promote constructive art and manage the artistic legacy of Olle Bærtling.
Does the foundation provide grants?
The foundation awards scholarships. It is not possible to apply for a scholarship from the foundation.
Does the foundation verify the authenticity of artworks?
The foundation does not authenticate or appraise artworks.
Does the foundation have a collection of Olle Bærtling’s works?
The foundation has a large collection of artworks by Olle Bærtling. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, prints, architectural models, and textiles. Is the foundation’s archive available for research?
The foundation manages Olle Bærtling’s archive. The majority of the material is stored at the National Archives in Stockholm under the name Bærtlingarkivet.
